Another exciting year ahead for our Bath Rugby community programmes

As a proud partner of Bath Rugby, we sponsor two grassroots programmes, Attacking Maths and Girls’ Participation Hubs, with the aim of creating a positive social impact in our local region.

The Attacking Maths programme aims to increase children’s understanding and confidence in numerical skills. Last year, Attacking Maths was delivered to 20 primary schools with over 1,200 pupils taking part and 200 hours of sessions delivered. In September this year, we invited our people to nominate another 20 primary schools to benefit from this programme. These sessions began in October and promote health, wellbeing and develop numeracy skills.

Girls’ Participation Hubs hopes to drive the growth and sustainability of female rugby in the local region. Frome RFC recently hosted a fantastic Girls’ Participation Hub, with over 70 girls aged under 16 attending. Following on from this success and previous Hubs at Bath RFC, Yeovil RFC, Chard RFC and Chew Valley RFC, Bath Rugby are excited to announce several new Girls’ Participation Hubs for this season. The day involves a 1.5-hour training session in the morning, a technical contact session in the afternoon and finishes with games. The next upcoming Girls’ Participation Hub takes place on Sunday 11^th December at Weymouth and Portland RFC. To register interest, visit the Girls' Participation Hub page on Bath Rugby’s website.
